Welcome to Tewantin Medical Centre.
Our medical centre is focused on excellence in patient care. Our dynamic practice has grown over the past seven years and we are please to have a full complement of skilled doctors and nurses with their own special interests.
Personally, keeping up with the latest in skin and laser technology has seen us grow and open Coastal Skin & Laser where our focus is purely on skin.

Dr. Andrew Spall
Dr Eve Bevan
Dr Eve Bevan has been a GP for over 30 years. She trained at the University of NSW and then worked in Adelaide, country Queensland, as a flying doctor in Western Australia, in Brisbane and the United Kingdom before coming to the northern Sunshine Coast 10 years ago. Initially she worked at Cooroy and for the past 5 years has worked at Tewantin Medical Centre.
Dr Bevan has a special interest in women’s health, gynaecology and oncology, but she enjoys all fields of medicine.
When not at work she runs a farm in the Noosa hinterland.
Dr Erin O'Hare
FRACGP MD BSc BN
Dr Erin O’Hare was born and raised on the Sunshine Coast. She completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne where she also undertook research in melanoma detection.
Dr O’Hare also completed her General Practice training on the Sunshine Coast.
Erin is interested in all areas of General Practice including skin cancer detection and management, and Implanon insertion. In her spare time Erin enjoys watching the AFL, particularly the Geelong Cats. She also enjoys boating and not catching many fish on the Noosa river with her family.
Dr Tess Connon
MBBS (Hons) FRACGP
Dr Tess Connon joined Tewantin Medical Centre in January 2022 as a specialist GP (FRACGP). She has a keen interest in skin cancer checks, offering comprehensive skin checks with mole mapping through Coastal Skin and Laser.
Tess also regularly performs minor surgeries at both Coastal Skin & Laser and Tewantin Medical Centre.
Dr Connon graduated from the University of NSW and has a Masters of Medicine in Clinical Epidemiology. She has completed an Advanced Certificate of Dermoscopy and is a member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia.
Tess does not prescribe opiate or benzodiazapine medications.
Dr Marita Kruger
Dr Marita Kruger graduated in 2002 in South Africa and has been practicing medicine on the Sunshine Coast since 2008. Dr Marita Kruger is working at Tewantin Medical Centre four days a week, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday.
Dr Kruger is a passionate doctor with experience in many fields of medicine in all age groups. She has special interests in patient centered care, managing chronic diseases, strategizing treatment plans, preventative medicine, children and young adults’ health, all aspects of women’s health, minor injuries and managing acute illness.
Dr Kruger does not prescribe opiate or benzodiazapine medications. Dr Kruger will help you look after your most precious asset…your health.
Dr Nadia Messerschmidt
MBBS BSc(Hons) PGDipSurgAnat FRACGP
Dr Nadia Messerschmidt grew up in South Africa and moved to the Sunshine Coast in 2020. She studied Medicine at Deakin University in Geelong, Victoria. She finished her internship and residency training in Melbourne Hospitals before moving into General Practice.
Dr Messerschmidt’s special interests include skin cancer medicine and preventive medicine. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and keeping active.
Dr Gerald Busch
MBBS, FRACGP, FACRRM, DRCOG, DCH (UK)
Dr Gerald Busch completed his Medical Degree in Germany and completed his Diploma in Child Health and Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the UK. Dr Busch moved to Victoria over 20 years ago where he then went on to obtain his Australian Fellowship (FRACGP) and his Australian College for Rural and Remote Medicine fellowship in 2007.
Dr Busch has special interests in general medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, paediatrics, ante/post-natal, sports injuries, skin checks/surgery and contraception including Implanon. Dr Busch has lived on the Sunshine Coast for many years now & is working at Tewantin Medical Centre Tuesday through to Friday.
Dr Anthony Reynolds
Dr Anthony Reynolds, originally from New Zealand, joined Tewantin Medical Centre in January 2023. Before arriving in general practice Dr Reynolds worked within multiple surgical specialties and emergency medicine around Queensland.
Dr Reynolds has worked continuously since becoming a doctor in 2011 and is drawn to general practice for the vast scope, the prolonged patient relationships and his interest in disease prevention, health promotion and longevity. Dr Reynolds has a passion for minor surgical procedures and is currently working toward a Masters Degree in Skin Cancer Medicine. Outside of work Dr Reynolds enjoys exploring the outdoors of the Sunshine Coast with his young family.
Hayley has been with Tewantin Medical Centre since its inception in 2013. She particularly enjoys the hands-on medicine in the treatment room and has a special interest in skin medicine.
Hayley lives rurally with her husband and two daughters, lots of horses and enjoys jogging in her spare time.
Kristi graduated from her Bachelor of Nursing at CQUniversity in 2015. She has worked between both General practice and the Aged care sector since then amidst caring for her three young children.
Kristi has a special interest in chronic conditions and mental health and the holistic care and management of these. She is currently studying a Post-Graduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing.
Laura joins both Tewantin Medical Centre and Coastal Skin & Laser with a multitude of talents. Laura assists Dr Spall with Automated Total Body Mapping & Dermoscopy, and is also available for cosmetic appointments at our neighbouring clinic Coastal Skin & Laser.
Kayla is an Enrolled nurse who completed her studies in 2021. Kayla is involved in both treatment room care and also in Coastal Skin & Laser where she assists Dr Tess Connon in her Automated Total Body Mapping appointments. When not working, Kayla is a busy with her husband looking after their two young boys.
Kylie joined our practice in 2021 She brings with her a wealth of knowledge from working in other practices in the medical industry. With many years managerial experience, Kylie has taken over managing both Tewantin Medical and our partner business, Coastal Skin & Laser. Medical Receptionist / Medical Assistant
Lauren has been with the practice since 2013 and enjoys medical reception, operation of laser equipment in Coastal Skin & Laser as well as helping in the treatment room. Lauren has licenses with QLD radiation and her Certificate IV in Medical Practice Assisting.
Kimberley holds a Certificate IV in Business administration and has close to 10 years experience as a scheduling officer working for Disability & Aged Care Support Organisations.
She has a passion for community services and enjoys the hustle and bustle of working in a busy medical practice.
Kate grew up locally and has worked in General Practice for 20 years.
She joined our reception team in 2020 and loves to get to know our patients and be a part of their healthcare journey.
Ash originally got her taste for the medical industry in Tasmania and has since moved to the Sunshine Coast with her family. We are lucky to have her vibrant personality on our reception team.
